F12

F12 also known as Function 12 key is a keyboard shortcut that serves different purposes depending on the program.

How to use it?

Just click the F12 function key in any program to see what it does.

• F12 in Mac computers:

In Apple Mac, the F12 key is used to turn down the audio.

• F12 in Excel:

In Microsoft Excel, pressing the F12 key will open the Save as option.

• F12 in Word:

In Microsoft Word, the F12 key will open the Save as window. Pressing "Ctrl + F12" will open a new document in word whereas "Shift + F12" saves the word document and "Ctrl + Shift + F12" will print the document.

• F12 in Browser:

In all the major browsers, the F12 key will open the browser’s debug tools.

• F12 in Outlook:

Pressing the F12 key in Outlook will open the save as dialog box.
